Female Goldfinch

This is a little study of a female goldfinch. I saw her feeding on these sunflowers in a parking lot near my house. I wanted to capture the late afternoon light.

Beautiful. I always look forward to your post - such beautiful paintings. How long does it take you to do something like the goldfinch?

Beautiful study- I love the unfinished quality- raw and natural.

Hi Johnny, I do studies too, and I feel inspired by seeing how raw you allow it to get around your edges on a study.

I'm also impressed by your productivity level; it makes me want to speed up!

P.S., Brooklyn-to-Bronx shout-out! I did not see at first that we live this close.

Thank you Mona! Believe me, I wish I could produce more. I think we all wish we could work faster too!
