Snow Leopard Potrait

I've continued rendering the cat. I'm making a conscious effort to pay attention to the direction of fur. I've also blocked in the background color.

I love your work! Is it acrylic or oil? Thanks!

Thank you very much! It's acrylic 10x10 on masonite.

Your paint is so buttery and yet translucent all at the same time. Do you use a medium, and also jar or tube acrylics? Thank you!

Thank you for the kind words!

As far as mediums go, I've never used any. I just use tap water and a spray bottle. I'm not saying you should'nt but I guess it would'nt hurt to experiment a little. Also, I use tube acrylics, liquitex and Golden.

Hi John,
I just discovered your paintings, they are magnificent and so realistic!
You'd make me want to resume painting!
But I am too much into wildlife photography now! ;-)
Keep up this excellent work... for my pleasure! ;-)
