Woodcock

These long-billed game birds, also known as timberdoodles, spend much of their time in the damp bottom lands where the flora is lush and thick. It's exactly the kind of place that I stumbled upon him while birding one afternoon.

Great to see this one finished. Beautiful image, I really love how your brushwork in the preceding stages already builds up the texture for the final image.
