Troglodytes troglodytes

I enjoyed painting the various textures in this piece. The flower petals,leaves,weathered brick and wren.

The lighting is absolutely beautiful on this one John. Is it Oils? What size? Just out of interest.

What a nice piece! Wrens are most fascinating to watch aren't they, as they love investigating all of the little nooks & crannys. I also love nasturtiums. Nice Job!

Johnny - once again I'm blown away with your work. Seeing a bit of how you do it was a real treat. I wished I were a fly on the wall in your studio or better yet you'd do a video - after all flys have such short lives and get in to yucky stuff ;-)

This is a super piece. OK, so here is the standard question . . . have you considered this as a possible entry for Birds in Art? Yeah, I know, I know, there are plenty of painters submitting, but not many with your eye and creative talent. 'Nuff said. :)
