The Piper

I saw this guy at our local St. Patrick's Day Parade and couldn't resist him. He was fun to paint because I got to use colors like phthalocyanine green and phthalocyanine blue to recreate the uniform. I may never get to use them again!

Hi John,

Once again...great work.

Thanks so much Paola, Jason and Scott!
This one is 16.5 x 11.5 acrylic. It's painted in my sketch book. I found them last time I was in London. They're made by Daler and Rowney and I really like the paper and how it takes the paint. I also like the odd size.

Another great piece, Johnny! Myself, I use pthalo blue all the time. Perhaps that's my problem.

Very nice John. You really handle Acrylics well. Am waiting for painting you began with the dandelions and violets.

Stunning painting great colour. My grand father was a piper in the Royal Scots Fusiliers and it reminds me of him :)
