When it comes to painting animals, I'm not as inspired by domestic wildlife, but occasionally I'm caught off guard. I was visiting some friends recently and their dog Bingo jumped up onto a pillow and sat by the window. I loved his posture and the way the afternoon light lit up his body. The very next day he went to the groomer and all that beautiful fur was gone.
